Serving families in need since 1947, the Family Service Agency of San Bernardino is dedicated to strengthening individual and family lives. The FSA provides a variety of programs including:
- Counseling for individuals, families, couples and children
- Crisis intervention
- Parenting Classes
- Anger Management Classes
- Counseling for families dealing with domestic or child abuse
- Food and clothing banks in San Bernardino and Crestline
Annually, the FSA provides services to over 8,000 children, adults and families. Many more individuals are assisted through their education, outreach and intervention programs. ACU is a proud contributor and has supported the FSA through both monetary contributions and employee volunteer hours.

Habitat for Humanity
Since 1993, the San Bernardino area affiliate has provided safe, affordable housing for low-income families in the area. In 2005, ACU is a partial house sponsor for a property in Loma Linda.
Mountain Communities Boys and Girls Club Provides social, educational and recreational programs to children and youth from predominantly low and moderate income families living in Running Springs, Valley of Enchantment, Crestline and surrounding communities. ACU purchased two modular buildings for installation at mountain elementary schools.
ACTS for Children ACTS is a 54-bed residential program for abused children with facilities in Bloomington and Rialto.
Assistance League of San Bernardino Through the annual Headdress Ball fundraising event, this organization provides school clothes to needy children through Operation School Bell and dental screening and care to more than 4,000 children each year.
American Red Cross From devastating fires to destructive floods, our region has suffered many blows in the last year. ACU is a proud supporter of the Inland Empire Chapter of this organization that is always ready for an emergency.
Valley Economic Development Corporation (VEDC) The VEDC stimulates industrial and commercial activities in the San Jacinto Valley by encouraging business growth, attracting new business, building a skilled and knowledgeable workforce and enhancing the standard of living and quality of life for Valley residents.
Rebuilding Together Rebuilding Together assists low-income, disabled and elderly homeowners with home repairs and refurbishment. Each year the group tackles home problems in mountain communities including Blue Jay, Lake Arrowhead and Crestline.
Garden of Angels The Garden of Angels organization works to prevent the tragedy of newborn abandonment through educational and outreach programs. They were instrumental in the passing of the “Safe Arms for Newborns” law in California, where newborns can be safely surrendered at hospitals and other designated spots. There have been 85 babies saved since the law passed in 2001.
The Unforgettables Foundation It is unfortunate that many Inland Empire families are unable to afford a funeral when a child dies of illness or accident. A fund established by The Unforgettables Foundation assists families that have limited resources to arrange a dignified, respectful burial when facing these tragic circumstances.
Humane Society of San Bernardino Valley
The Humane Society serves in excess of 30,000 animals a year by providing low-cost spaying and neutering services, low-cost vaccinations, medical services to pets of indigent people and education classes to over 15,000 children annually. Arrowhead has been a supporter of the new building campaign and the annual “Sit, Stay, and Nibble” fundraiser by decorating a custom doghouse.
San Bernardino Police K-9 Fund Police dogs are an invaluable asset to officers on patrol and Arrowhead has been a supporter helping to purchase two new patrol dogs, providing kennels, necessary equipment, and cross-training of existing dogs for narcotics.
Yucaipa Animal Placement Society (Y.A.P.S.) The Y.A.P.S. shelter is a safe haven for abandoned animals from shelters across the region, as well as for animals whose owners can no longer keep them. Their purpose is simply to make sure the animals that come to the facility are spayed or neutered then placed into permanent, loving homes.
