Arrowhead Credit Union Sponsors Adopt-A-Book Program for La Sierra Library

San Bernardino, CA—In celebration of the relocation of their Riverside branch, Arrowhead Credit Union has teamed up with the Riverside Public Library Foundation to promote an Adopt-A-Book program that benefits the La Sierra Branch Library.

Donations can be made through August 31 at the ACU branch located at 11150 Magnolia Ave. ACU will match all donations made during the month of August up to $2,500.

Through the Adopt-A-Book program, the library will be able to add to their collection of early readers and young adult section, which is heavily utilized in Riverside Reads!, the library’s summer reading program. More than 5000 children are participating in this summer’s program.

According to Marion Mitchell-Wilson, Executive Director of the Library Foundation, "The Riverside Public Library always needs new children's books because they fly off of the shelves and are loved to death. A children's book circulates twice as many times as an adult book is checked out. Library books help children learn to read so they can read to learn. Arrowhead Credit Union knows that literacy is an economic factor. Their support of library programs is building a healthy economic future through reading."
