Arrowhead CU Raises $53,000 for Arrowhead United Way
November 15, 2006
San Bernardino, CA—Arrowhead Credit Union recently completed their annual employee fundraising campaign to benefit the Arrowhead United Way and raised more than $53,000. The theme for the campaign this year was to “Grow our commitment and grow our community.”
All employees were encouraged to participate with creative fundraising activities in addition to donating directly through payroll deduction. Some departments reached their goals by holding raffles for Disneyland tickets, gift baskets and other events. Others held bake sales, taco lunches and even a boutique with hand-crafted scarves and doggy sweaters.
“The efforts of our employees and those who coordinated this year’s campaign were outstanding,” said Diane Eazell, Arrowhead’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Administration. Eazell, who also volunteers on the Board of Directors at the Arrowhead United Way, added, ”Every year I am amazed at our employees’ creativity and think it can’t be outdone and every year we do just that. It’s fantastic teamwork by everyone involved.”
Arrowhead United Way was founded over 115 years ago and has been working to make lasting and effective change in San Bernardino and the surrounding communities. Danielle McDaniel, Campaign Manager at Arrowhead United Way says, “With the strength and support of the community and employee campaigns like Arrowhead Credit Union holds, we will continue to help our local area thrive.”
