Desert Charities Benefit from Arrowhead Credit Union Grand Opening
Arrowhead Credit Union recently opened their 26th branch location and invited the community to celebrate along with Desert Communities United Way organizations.
Hesperia, CA. —Arrowhead Credit Union recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and free family fun event in celebration of their new branch opening in Hesperia. The ribbon cutting ceremony included a special opportunity for local charities to receive a donation from Arrowhead Credit Union, when three Desert Communities United Way charity representatives cut a portion of a red ribbon filled with money. Each organization kept the amount they cut off of the ribbon.
The organizations that benefited were the American Red Cross-High Desert Chapter, Moses House Ministries and A Better Way which assists victims of domestic violence.
The grand opening celebration was attended by the Hesperia Chamber of Commerce, Hesperia Mayor Rita Vogler and many local businesses. After the ribbon cutting the community was invited to a free family fun event that featured music with a live DJ, free hot dogs, nachos and ice cream, face painting, children’s fingerprinting and water conservation education. The family fun event was attended by over 300 people.
According to Larry Sharp, President/CEO of Arrowhead Credit Union, “We have a long-standing tradition of community involvement and with the opening of this Hesperia branch, we are happy to spotlight these worthwhile organizations in the high desert region. Arrowhead Credit Union also demonstrates a commitment to the members we serve in the high desert with this new branch that features drive up ATMs, a dedicated merchant window and two drive-up teller windows for on-the-go convenience.”
