Arrowhead Credit Union CEO Celebrates 25th Anniversary

San Bernardino, CA —Larry R. Sharp, President and CEO of Arrowhead Credit Union was recently honored for his 25 years of leadership at Arrowhead Credit Union. Hundreds of employees attended the celebration in addition to local dignitaries and members of his family.

The celebration included a touching video tribute with dozens of personal messages to Sharp along with images showing the tremendous achievements he has made at Arrowhead Credit Union throughout the last quarter century.

Marie Alonzo, Chairman of the Board at Arrowhead Credit Union, emceed the evening which carried the theme: “True leaders illuminate the path to success”. She recognized Sharp for his unique leadership skills, his commitment to the credit union industry and the communities where Arrowhead Credit Union serves, as well as his visionary optimism.

When Sharp started at Arrowhead Credit Union, there were 27,000 members, $50 million in assets, 77 employees and 6 branches. Today Arrowhead Credit Union’s membership is over 168,000, with nearly $1.1 billion in assets, 590 employees and 27 branches.

The Board of Directors presented Sharp with a Waterford crystal lamp which Alonzo called, “a symbolic representation of the bright path that Larry Sharp has forged for Arrowhead Credit Union and a beacon of light for the future of Arrowhead Credit Union.”

Ten other Arrowhead Credit Union employees were honored during the celebration who have served along side Larry Sharp during his tenure.
