Chinese Officials Learn About Credit Unions

San Bernardino, CA —Banking and government officials from China are in the Inland area this week to learn how credit unions are operated.

Officials of the People's Bank of China and China's Guizhou province are visiting the U.S. to meet with representatives of the California Credit Union League. The league, headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga, does advocacy and education programs for credit unions in California and Nevada.

A league statement said the Chinese visitors' itinerary includes tours and meetings today at Inland-based Arrowhead Credit Union's San Bernardino and Fontana offices.

The delegation's trip is part of a new development initiative between the World Council of Credit Unions and People's Bank, launched in China earlier this year.
