Arrowhead Credit Union Donates 40 Computers to Ridgeview Elementary
San Bernardino, CA — In response to the recent vandalism at
Ridgeview Elementary, Arrowhead Credit Union has donated 40 computers to help
refurbish the computer lab and replace the library computers that were
damaged.
According to Frank Halstead, Information Systems Director at Arrowhead Credit
Union, “When we heard about the vandalism from one of our employees, we
immediately thought of donating these computer systems. As part of our perpetual
hardware upgrades we occasionally have computers become available that we can
donate to the community. The timing for this donation couldn’t have been better.
This is the largest quantity of computers we have ever donated and while the
systems aren’t new, they are upgrades for the school.”
The donation includes 40 complete systems with monitors, mice, keyboards, and
central processing units. The computers also come installed with Microsoft
Windows and Office.
“We are so excited to receive this donation. It means so much for the
students to have updated computers,” said Roger Flowers, Computer Resource
Assistant at Ridgeview Elementary. Linda Moffatt, Principal adds, “The entire
community has been so supportive through the whole ordeal. We are very thankful
to the Yucaipa Police Department for their diligence in pursuing the case and to
Arrowhead Credit Union for helping us to upgrade our computer lab.”
