General Questions

Do I need to pay a membership fee?
No, you are automatically an Arrowhead member and will not need to pay a membership fee.

Is my member number the same?
Your new member number is a longer number that contains your prior HAPEFCU member number. All of your share IDs are the same. Please note that your loan numbers have changed.

Did my years of membership carry over?
Yes, your years of membership stayed the same.

How will this affect my 2017/2018 tax forms?
Any 2017 tax forms will come from HAPEFCU, and any 2018 tax forms will come from Arrowhead.

Will the Lomita branch hours stay the same?
Yes, the hours will remain Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Will the Harbor Area Postal team still be here?
Yes. Vongie, Sal and Alex are still here to serve you.

Why merge with Arrowhead Credit Union?
The Harbor Area team considered several credit unions. After spending time with each, they felt Arrowhead’s service culture and organizational values were the best fit. We also provide a full-service call center, mobile banking app, mobile deposit, an on-site ATM, and much more.

About My Membership

Do I need to pay a membership fee?
No, are automatically an Arrowhead member and will not need to pay a membership fee.

When will I receive my Arrowhead account information?
Your new Arrowhead account information was mailed mid-April. If you have not received it, please call us at (800) 743-7228.

Did the merger affect membership eligibility?
No. Eligibility for both credit unions is now combined. Anyone who was eligible for Harbor Area membership is now eligible for Arrowhead membership.

What happens to my accidental death and dismemberment insurance?
If you had a current policy as a Harbor Area member, it will automatically transfer to your Arrowhead membership.

Branches & ATMs

Which ATMs can I use?
You can continue accessing any of the CO-OP Network ATMs.

When will the ATM be available at the Lomita branch?
The new ATM is here!

Will the Lomita branch stay open?
Yes, the branch will be open with the same hours of operation.

When can I use Arrowhead branches?
You can use any Arrowhead branch that is convenient for you. Find a branch

Online & Mobile Banking

Will I need a new username and password?
Yes, you will need to log in with your member number and temporary password in online banking. Once that is set up, you can use that to log in to Mobile Banking. Instructions for how to retrieve your temporary password were mailed to you in your Welcome Guide mid-March.

Where do I login to Online Banking?
You can login on our homepage.

How do I get the Mobile Banking app?
The Mobile Banking app is available for Apple devices in the App StoreSM and for Android devices in Google Play™. You can download it at anytime, after you've registered for online banking on a computer.

How do I set up my online bill payments?
You will need to set up all bill payments in online banking or call us (800) 743-7228.

How do I set up recurring transfers?
You will need to set up all transfers in online banking or call us at (800) 743-7228.

How do I enroll in eStatements?
You will be able to sign up for eStatements in online banking at the time that you set up your username and password.

Where can I see my transaction history?
You'll be able to see past transactions in online banking in your estatements, including the past 18 months of your HAPEFCU statements. You can also call us at (800) 743-7228.

Did my bill payees convert?
No, you'll have to set up your bill payees in online banking.

Did my alerts convert?
No, we have many alerts you can choose from, you can set them up in online banking.

Will my outstanding bill pay checks clear my account?
Yes, outstanding bills will clear through April 30, but all future payments will need to be setup in Arrowhead’s online banking. You should have received eight starter checks, which can be useful if you need to make sure a bill is paid the first few days in May.

When will Bill Pay debit my account?
Funds will be debited from your account at the time the payment is transmitted.

ATM & Debit Cards

When will I receive my new Arrowhead cards?
Your new cards were mailed April 11. Once activated, you can begin using your cards on May 1, after 7am. If you have not received your new cards, please call us at (800) 743-7228.

When can I activate my card?
You can activate your card as soon as you receive it.

Will I receive separate ATM and debit cards?
If you had both an ATM and a debit card on any given account at HAPEFCU, you will now have one card that can be used both as an ATM or a debit card.

When did my Harbor Area cards deactivate?
Your HAPEFCU ATM and debit cards deactivated on April 30.  Your credit cards deactivated on April 26.

Do I need to update automatic payments?
If your automatic payment is made by using your checking or savings account number, it was automatically transferred over.

If it is made using your ATM, debit, or credit card, once your new card is activated, you can set up your automatic payments with your new information.

How do I set up a PIN?
You can set up a PIN anytime by calling (866) 212-4333.

What ATMs can I use?
You can use all the same fee-free CO-OP ATMs you've always used, and any Arrowhead ATM, including the new ATM at the Lomita branch.  Other ATMs outside of the CO-OP network, you can use, but may incur a fee.

What if my automatic payments occur on the first of the month?
If your automatic payment is made by using your checking or savings account number, it will automatically transfer over.

If it is made using your ATM, debit, or credit card, you may want to pay with a different method for May.

Once your card is activated, you can set up your automatic payments with your new card information.

If you make your payments using Bill Pay, we recommend you set up your payments in advance or utilize another method for the month of May.

Credit Card

Was my existing balance transferred over at my HAPEFCU rate or my new Arrowhead rate?
In most cases, your existing balance will transfer over at the fixed rate of 11.5% APR. Any future purchases or transfers will be at our current variable rate.

What is the difference between the Arrowhead Visa and my previous HAPEFCU Visa?
While your HAPEFCU had a fixed rate, the Arrowhead Visa offers a competitive variable rate, which is currently at 11.49% APR. The Arrowhead Visa also offers no annual fee, no balance transfer fee, no cash advance fee, plus you'll get your FICO score free, updated monthly on your statements.

Did my payment date change?
Your payment due date will be on the 25th of each month.

Can I use my Arrowhead Visa as overdraft from my checking?
Yes, a great feature of the Arrowhead Visa is that you can use it as overdraft for your checking account. You can set this up in online banking or call us at (800) 743-7228.

How do I make my credit card payment?
You can call us, visit a branch, or make a payment in online banking from any of your Arrowhead accounts.

When will I receive my Arrowhead Visa?
All cards were delivered to you by mail mid-April. If you have not received yours, please call us at (800) 743-7228.

 

Checking

Will my direct deposit automatically transfer over?
Yes, your direct deposit will transfer over to your Arrowhead account. Any deposits you receive on May 1 will be deposited into your account.

Will I receive new checks? If so, when?
Yes, you should have received 8 starter checks approximately 1 week before May 1. If you did not receive yours, please call us at (800) 743-7228.

Will my Harbor Area checks still work?
We recommend you use your Arrowhead checks after May 1. Once you start using your Arrowhead checks, you'll be able to see images of your cleared checks within online and mobile banking.

Is there a monthly fee for the Arrowhead Checking account?
Arrowhead Checking is free with eStatements. Enroll in eStatements by May 31 to waive the $5 monthly fee.

What is the Arrowhead routing number?
Our routing number is 322282603.

How do I find my Arrowhead checking account number?
It will be on your Membership Card which was mailed mid-April. You can also locate your checking account number when you sign up for Online Banking.

What if I want an Interest Checking account, instead of an Arrowhead Checking account?
Call us at (800) 743-7228 and we can convert your Arrowhead Checking into a Dividend Checking.

Will my checking overdraft to my savings?
Yes, your checking will automatically overdraft to your savings account. If you would not like your accounts set up this way, please give us a call at (800) 743-7228.

Will my outstanding checks still clear my account?
Yes, outstanding checks will withdraw from the available funds in your account. We recommend you use your Arrowhead checks after May 1. Once you start using your Arrowhead checks, you'll be able to see images of your cleared checks within online and mobile banking.

Savings

Can I setup direct deposit into my Arrowhead Savings?
Yes, you can have funds direct deposited into your Arrowhead Savings account.

What are your savings rates?
You can view our current savings rates here.

What is the minimum account balance requirement?
$5 is required to keep the account open. Maintaining $300+ balance or a $25 recurring monthly transfer can waive this monthly fee.

Is a savings account required?
No, if you had an existing savings at HAPEFCU, it was transferred over to Arrowhead. If you wish to close it, please let us know.

Will recurring transfers between my Harbor Area accounts carry over to my Arrowhead accounts?
It depends. If you set up the transfer initially in branch or over the phone, it will carry over. If you set it up in Online Banking, you will need to set it up again in Arrowhead Online Banking.

How do I waive the monthly maintenance fee on my Arrowhead Savings?
With a minimum balance of $300 or a $25 or more monthly transfer. See our Fee Schedule for more information. Please note we will waive the monthly maintenance fee of $3 until October 31.

Loans

Will my loan due date be the same?
Yes, your loan payment date will stay the same.

Will my interest rate be the same?
Yes, your interest rate will be the same on your loans.

Will my loan term be the same?
Yes, your loan term will remain the same.

How do I open a new loan?
You can call us at (800) 743-7228, visit a branch, or apply in online banking after May 1.

Will my automatic payment carry over?
Any automatic payments from HAPEFCU will transfer over, but if you have any payments set up coming from other institutions, they will not transfer over and you'll need to set them up again.

How do I make my loan payment to Arrowhead?
In a branch, in online banking from any of your Arrowhead accounts, or call us at (800) 743-7228.

Will I get loan coupons?
No. If you need help setting up payments, give us a call at (800) 743-7228.


Will I receive updated DMV registration for my auto loan?
Yes, you will receive a new registration card from the DMV showing Arrowhead Credit Union as your lien holder. This will happen automatically, you won’t need to do anything differently.

IRAs & Certificates

Will my maturity date and dividend rate change?
No, they will remain the same.
