General Questions

Can I keep using my Ocean Crest accounts?
Yes, you'll continue to use your Ocean Crest accounts until they're converted to Arrowhead accounts, several months from now.

Why merge with Arrowhead Credit Union?
The Ocean Crest team considered several credit unions. After spending time with each, they felt Arrowhead’s service culture and organizational values were the best fit. Merging will also provide members with a full-service call center, mobile banking app, mobile deposit, and much more.

Will the Ocean Crest team still be here?
Yes. The branch team will be here to serve you through and after the merger with Arrowhead.

When will my accounts convert to Arrowhead?
It will take several months to merge all of our systems. In the meantime, you can use Ocean Crest as usual. The most up-to-date information will be available on this website, and you will receive updates via mail.

When can I use Arrowhead branches?
Once your accounts are converted to Arrowhead accounts, several months from now.

What happens to my accidental death and dismemberment insurance?
If you had a current policy as an Ocean Crest member, it will automatically transfer to your Arrowhead membership.

About My Membership

Will the merger affect membership eligibility?
No. Eligibility for both credit unions is now combined. Anyone who has been eligible for an Ocean Crest membership is now eligible for Arrowhead membership.

When will I receive my Arrowhead account information?
Your new Arrowhead account information will arrive by mail mid-November. You can also check back on this website for the latest information. Please make sure Ocean Crest has your current mailing address and phone number so you receive your new account information. Please call (562) 426-8838 to update your info by October 30.

Do I need to pay a membership fee?
No, you'll automatically become an Arrowhead member and will not need to pay a membership fee.

What happens to my Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance?
If you had a current policy as an Ocean Crest member, it will automatically transfer to your Arrowhead membership.

Branches & ATMs

Will the branch stay open after the merger?
Yes, the branch will remain open
Mon – Fri: 9am to 5pm.

Which ATMs can I use?
You can continue accessing any of the CO-OP Network ATMs.
 

When can I use Arrowhead branches?
Your Ocean Crest accounts will officially move to Arrowhead on December 1, 2018.

In the meantime, you can use Ocean Crest as usual. The most up-to-date information will be available on this website.

Online & Mobile Banking

Will I need a new username and password?
Yes, on December 1, you will need to register for Online Banking, using the Register button on our homepage or in the Arrowhead Mobile App, available in the App StoreSM or Google PlayTM.

Where do I login to Online Banking?
You can login on our homepage.

How do I get the Mobile Banking app?
The Mobile Banking app is available for Apple devices in the App StoreSM and for Android devices in Google Play™.

You can download it at anytime, but you will not be able to use it until December 1.

How do I enroll in eStatements?
You will be able to sign up for eStatements in Online Banking at the time that you set up your username and password.

How will I receive my November-end Ocean Crest Statement?
Your last Ocean Crest statement will be mailed as a paper statement (even if you’re signed up for eStatements at Ocean Crest) in early December.

Where can I see my transaction history?
Your past transactions and statements from Ocean Crest will not be available in Online Banking after November 30. If you think you’ll need this information, we recommend you print any past statements before then. If you need help obtaining these after December 1, please give us a call at (800) 743-7228.

Will my alerts convert?
No, we have many alerts you can choose from, you can set them up in Online Banking on or after December 1.

Will I be able to set up text alerts?
At this time, Arrowhead does not offer text alerts. If you’d like to receive email alerts, you can set them up in Online Banking, as of December 1.

Bill Pay & Transfers

How do I setup my online bill payments?
Any bills you had set up with Ocean Crest will not carry over. You will need to set up all bill payments in Arrowhead Online Banking on or after December 1.

We will provide a list of your payees to help with the transition in your Member Guide in mid-November.

How do I setup recurring transfers?
You will need to set up all transfers in Online Banking or call us at (800) 743-7228.

Will my bill payees convert?
No, you'll have to set up your bill payees in Online Banking. You’ll be receiving a letter in your Member Guide, mid-November, with all of the payees you currently have set up at Ocean Crest.

Will my outstanding bill pay checks clear my account?
Yes, but all future payments will need to be setup in Arrowhead’s Online Banking.

You'll receive eight starter checks that you can use starting December 1, which can be useful if you need to make sure a bill is paid the first few days in December.

If you need more starter checks, please give us a call at (800) 743-7228.

When is the last day to enter payments in Ocean Crest Online Banking?
Any bills or payees cannot be edited or added to Ocean Crest Online Banking after November 30. Please keep in mind, any payments made after November 30, will not go out and will need to be set up in Arrowhead’s Online Banking.

On December 1, you will be able to set up your payees and payments in Online Banking at Arrowhead.

When will Bill Pay debit my Arrowhead account?   
Funds will be debited from your account at the time the payment is transmitted. Please note, funds must be available for the payment to go through.

Will my Pop Money transfer over?
No. Arrowhead does not offer Pop Money, but these payees will be available to set up in Bill Pay. We recommend you set them up as bill payments after December 1.

Debit Cards

When will I receive my new Arrowhead cards?
Approximately 2 weeks before December 1. Please note, you may activate your card when you receive it, however you cannot use it before December 1 at 7am.

When can I activate my card?
You can activate your card as soon as you receive it, but it will not be available for use until December 1.

When will my Ocean Crest cards deactivate?
Your Ocean Crest debit cards will deactivate on November 30 at 4:00pm.  Your credit cards will deactivate on January 16 at 4:00pm.

Do I need to update automatic payments?
If your automatic payment is made using your checking or savings account number, it will automatically transfer over.

If it is made using your debit card, we recommend you pay in advance for December.

Once your card is activated, you can set up your automatic payments with your new information.

How do I setup a PIN?
When you receive your card, call (866) 212-4333 to activate it and select your PIN.

What ATMs can I use?     
You can use all the same surcharge-free CO-OP ATMs you've always used, and any Arrowhead ATM.

Other ATMs outside of the CO-OP network, you can use, but may incur a fee.

What if my automatic payments occur on the first of the month?
If your automatic payment is made using your checking or savings account number, it will automatically transfer over.

If it is made using your debit card, we recommend you pay in advance for December.

Once your card is activated, you can set up your automatic payments with your new information.

If you make your payments using Bill Pay, we recommend you set up your payments in advance or utilize another method for the month of December.

When can I enroll my in Apple Pay®, Google PayTM, or Samsung Pay®
Great news! You can start using the mobile wallet feature for your Arrowhead debit card on your Apple or Android device as of December 1.

 

Checking

Will my direct deposit automatically transfer over?
Yes, your direct deposit will transfer over to your Arrowhead account. Any deposits you receive on or after December 1 will be deposited into your account the same day.

Will I receive new checks? If so, when?
Yes, you will receive 8 starter checks by mid-November. Please remember not to use these until December 1. If you think you’ll need more, please call us at (800) 743-7228.

Will my Ocean Crest checks still work?
You'll be receiving eight starter checks mid-November. In the meantime, you are still able to use your Ocean Crest checks.

Is there a monthly fee for the Arrowhead Checking account?
Arrowhead Checking is free with eStatements. Enroll in eStatements by December 31 to waive the $5 monthly fee.

Will my routing number change?
Yes, your new routing number will be 322282603.

How do I find my Arrowhead Checking account number?
It will be on your Membership Card you'll be receiving 2 weeks before December 1. You can also access your checking account number when you sign up for Online Banking.

What if I want an dividend-earning checking account?
After December 1, call us at (800) 743-7228 and we can convert your Arrowhead Checking into a
Dividend Checking.

Will my checking overdraft from my savings?
Yes, all Arrowhead checking accounts will automatically be set up to overdraft from your savings account*. If you would not like your accounts set up this way, please give us a call at (800) 743-7228, after December 1.

*Applicable fees may occur.

Will my outstanding Ocean Crest checks still clear my account?
Yes, outstanding checks will withdraw from the available funds in your account. We recommend you use your Arrowhead checks after December 1.

Once you start using your Arrowhead checks, you'll be able to see images of your cleared checks within Online and Mobile Banking.

 

Savings

Is a savings account required?
No, if you have an existing savings, it will transfer over to Arrowhead. If you wish to close it, please let us know by calling us at (800) 743-7228 after December 1.

Can I have direct deposit go to my Arrowhead Savings?
Yes, you can have funds direct deposited into your Arrowhead Savings account.

What are your savings rates?   
View our current savings rates here.

What is the minimum account balance requirement?
$5 is required to maintain your Arrowhead Savings account. Maintaining $300+ average balance or a $25 recurring monthly deposit can waive the $3 monthly fee.

If you set it up in Online Banking, you will need to set it up again in Arrowhead Online Banking.

How do I waive the monthly maintenance fee on my Arrowhead Savings?
With an average balance of $300+ or a $25 or more recurring monthly deposit. See our Fee Schedule for more information.

Please note we will waive the monthly maintenance fee of $3 until May 31, 2019. For members age 60 and up, we will automatically waive this monthly fee.

 

Loans

Will my due date be the same?
Yes, your due date will stay the same, but your payment amount may be different. Please see communications you'll be receiving in the mail for more information.

Will my interest rate on my loan be the same?
Yes, your interest rate will be the same on your loans.

Will my loan term be the same?
Yes, your loan term will remain the same.

How do I open a new loan?
You can call us at (800) 743-7228, visit a branch, or apply online starting December 1.

Will my automatic payment carry over?
Any automatic payments from Ocean Crest will transfer over, but if you have any payments set up coming from other institutions or Ocean Crest Bill Pay, they will not transfer over and you'll need to set them up again.

Will my loan payment continue to come from my payroll?
If you already had an automatic loan payment setup from your payroll this should automatically transfer over. We recommend keeping a close eye on your account during the first month or so to make sure everything is transferring as you expect it to. Please reach out to us immediately if your payroll is not distributed as you expect.

How do I make my loan payment to Arrowhead?
In a branch, in Online Banking from any of your Arrowhead accounts, or call us at (800) 743-7228.

Will I get loan coupons?
No, we do not provide loan coupons. Payment information will be provided in your statements. If you need help setting up payments, give us a call at (800) 743-7228.

Will I receive updated DMV registration for my auto loan?
Yes, you will receive a new registration card from the DMV showing Arrowhead Credit Union as your lien holder. This will happen automatically, you won’t need to do anything differently.

IRA/Certificates

Will my maturity date and dividend rate change?
No, they will both remain the same.                   

How will this affect my 2018 tax forms?
Your 2018 tax form will come from Arrowhead, and will include information from your Ocean Crest accounts.
