  • Loan must be set up on “monthly” payments
  • Loan must be open for at least 12 months
  • Loan cannot have any late payments
  • Loan must be current at the time of the request
  • Member account must be in good standing
Which loans are eligible for Skip-a-Pay?

The following loans* are eligible for Skip-a-Pay:

  • New and used auto loans (both direct and indirect)
  • Signature loans, including promotional checks
  • Lines of Credit

The following loans are not eligible for Skip-a-Pay:

  • All credit cards
  • Home equity loans/lines of credit (HELOCs)
  • Motorcycle and RV loans
  • Share secured loans (including SmartStart, share, and share certificate secured loans)

*Loans must be in good standing to be eligible for Skip-a-Pay

How often can I skip a payment?

A loan payment can be skipped once every six months up to twice per calendar year.

Note: Restrictions apply to auto loans with GAP insurance. A GAP claim may not pay if more than one payment has been skipped per year. For this reason, loans with GAP are only allowed one skip payment per year.

1 If approved, a skip payment fee will be added to the principal balance of your loan. Interest will continue to accrue daily at the current rate during the skipped period which will result in more finance charges. Non-eligible loans include mortgages, Visa® credit cards, home equity lines of credit and any loan being paid by credit union disability insurance. All deferrals subject to approval. Contact an Arrowhead Credit Union team member for additional information about eligibility and restrictions.
