Why merge with Arrowhead?
The BEFCU Board and team considered several credit unions. After spending time with each, they felt Arrowhead Credit Union’s service culture and organizational values were the best fit. Merging will provide members with a highly competitive lineup of products and services, including financial planning assistance through a third-party partner, Saturday call center hours, and instant-issue debit and credit cards. In addition, they have 19 branches (15 of which serve the Inland Empire) and over 500 team members (which the BEFCU staff will become part of) who specialize in providing you with world-class service.
How will this affect the Bourns team?
The BEFCU branch team will continue to serve you throughout the merger and after. In fact, the BEFCU team will become part of the Arrowhead team.
When will my account(s) convert to Arrowhead Credit Union?
It will take several months to merge all of our systems. In the meantime, you can use BEFCU as usual. The most up-to-date information will be available on this website, and you will receive updates about the process via mail and email.
Can I keep using my Bourns account(s)?
Yes, you'll continue to use your BEFCU accounts until they're converted to Arrowhead accounts, which will be several months from now. We’ll communicate a firm timeline in advance and as soon as it is available.
Will this impact how I access my account(s)?
There won’t be any changes to how you access your account(s) until early next year. Additional information will be sent to you before any changes to your account(s) occur, and you can visit this page for frequent updates about the merger.
